CaseLines Pilot: Latest News
The CaseLines Digital Evidence Management system will come out in two stages. In Phase 1, jury trials will be replaced by hearings of evidence and trials by a judge alone. In Phase 2, the jury phase will be put into place. The first step will be done slowly, one county at a time. Once Phase 1 has been rolled out in each county, Phase 2 will start with a similar plan for how it will be done. After the first phase went well in Rockingham and Strafford counties and the northern and southern parts of Hillsborough County, we’re excited to start the second phase. The service will go live in the counties of Merrimack, Belknap, and Carroll in late summer or early fall of 2022. Make sure to save this page and check back often for updates. Judges, lawyers, and court staff are currently learning how to use technology that will get rid of time-consuming paper copies and allow multi-media evidence to be shown in court.
